Auto Insurance Comparison
Auto insurance is a necessity for a number of reasons, and at the top of the list is protection. The value of insurance is immeasurable since it not only takes care of your investment, it takes care of the plan holder as well. How do you know what to look for in auto insurance and how do you know which one to choose?
With the number of auto insurance companies out there, picking the right policy might seem daunting, but once you know the different types of coverages they offer it won’t seem as much. Auto insurance is basically made up of seven primary coverages, each with it’s own premiums, which make up a standard auto insurance policy.

These are as follows:
• Bodily injury liability – this provides protection in the event that someone is injured or killed while you are operating your car and as a legal defense in case a lawsuit is filed against you.

• Personal injury protection coverage – covers medical payments in the event of injury to you or your passenger while in your car.

• Uninsured motorists coverage – this pays for injuries caused to you by an uninsured driver or vehicle in the event of an accident that is not your fault.

• Comprehensive physical damage coverage – This covers damages to the vehicle due to natural and unnatural causes like theft, flood, or fire.

• Collision coverage – provides coverage for repairs of the vehicle related to accidental collision to another vehicle or object.

• Property damage liability – offers protection if property is damaged by your car and provides legal defense in the event that a lawsuit is filed against you.

• Rental reimbursement – pays for the rental of a car in the event that your car is out of commission due to damage as long as it is covered by the insurance policy.

Now as these are just your standard coverage, everything else is an add on by the insurance company and it would be well to do your homework on what else is available and included in the policy that you are to pick. Another thing to consider is the premium that you will be paying and the period that you will be covered.
